Remembrance

A short service will take place at the War Memorial (near The Chequers, on the High Street) on Friday 11 November at 11am. 

The traditional main service will be conducted by the combined Cottenham churches on 13 November at about 10.55 am.

The parade will leave the Cambridge Building Society car park about 10.45 am and make its way to the memorial. It is suggested that those unable to stand for 20 minutes bring folding chairs.

The British Legion Poppy Appeal which began in October will come to an end on this day and Poppy Tins from various shops, library and community centres will be collected. 

If anyone would like a wreath, to lay on the Sunday, please contact Ann Scott (01954 251468). If you have had a wreath in previous years, one will have been ordered for you automatically.

Road Closure

From 10.30 to 11.30am along the High Street from the Green to Telegraph Street, and Denmark Road from The Chequers to Telegraph Street.

Buses will be diverted during this time and volunteer marshals will be directing car and pedestrian traffic
