Following several years experience in the industry, proprietor Lawson Wight, established the firm in 2002. The information in these pages is the result of a wealth of practical chimney sweeping and solid fuel experience as well as ongoing theoretical training.

Industry qualifications include: City & Guilds Chimney Cleaning as well as numerous industry certifications. He is a registered member of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, a leading national trade organization which promotes training and standards within the industry. He works with the Guild board of directors promoting a host of chimney sweep and consumer interests.

JL Wight are committed to raising awareness of the safety and environmental issues concerning the installation and use of appliances (fires, stoves, cookers and boilers), burning of solid fuels and use of chimneys in general. A good professional sweep will do mush more than clean your chimney>
